Cox expansion on right track

Cox Plant Hire has taken another step in its strategy to rejuvenate and expand the brand following its recent purchase of Llewellyn Plant from Rok Property Solutions.

The £4.5m deal adds 50 employees and a £7m annual turnover as well as three plant and tool hire branches (Milton Keynes, Eastbourne and Swanscombe) and a satellite depot in Basingstoke.

This takes the number of Cox outlets to 28, and the company said it has plans to reach its target of 35 branches in two years of the management buy-out.

Managing director Keith Price said: "This is vital in delivering our commitment to a local service nationwide."

n Cox has also purchased 21 DAF FA45 7.5t beaver tailed trucks worth £680,000.
