Total Bitumen and Road Maintenance Services form partnership

Total Bitumen and Road Maintenance Services have today (Friday) announced the formation of a partnership agreement between the two companies.

As part of the deal, Road Maintenance Services has purchased Total's premium surface dressing contracting division for an undisclosed sum.

All operational staff have transferred to Road Maintenance Services with John Simpson being appointed as contracts director.

"This deal will make Road Maintenance Services a major nationwide player in the surface treatments market with the continued support of Total Bitumen. We are fully committed to providing high quality service to all our existing and potential customers," said Simpson.

Total Bitumen will become a key supply chain partner of the enlarged company and will supply bitumen emulsion binders and provide full technical support.
