China opening for Liebherr

The latest plant manufacturer to open a factory in China is Liebherr. The company is building an earthmoving equipment factory in Dallian, a city traditionally associated with heavy engineering and shipbuilding.

It plans to manufacture almost all of the equipment in China, and while he wouldn't be drawn on the expected output, a spokesman said it would be in four figures. Estimates on the Chinese market for excavators are 25,000 per year.
