New CE at Hills after reshuffle

David Hill has been appointed group chief executive of Hills Electrical & Mechanical, the £100m-a-year Walsall-based group.

A major reshuffle of the main board has resulted in John Bird stepping up to the position of managing director, while Jeremy Belcher takes the operations director's post. David Gurney is the new finance director and Roy Carter has responsibility for developing a stronger FM capability, while staying in charge of long-term maintenance contracts.

Hills' latest results (12 months to June 2002) show a pre-tax profit of £2.5m. The group plans to expand turnover to £200m by 2007.
