Spectrum wins £8m fit-out deal in the City
Spectrum Projects has won the £8m contract to fit-out law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner's office at St Magnus House in the City. The project involves work on five floors.

Birse Build gets £4.9m design and build job
Birse Build has won a £4.9m contract with Terrace Hill Group for the design and build of 13 office units on a residential development at Queen Elizabeth Park, Guildford. The 39-week project is due for completion in early 2004.

Osborne starts final stage of £400m offices
Osborne has started the final stage of the £400m project to redevelop BP's office accommodation in Surrey. Second-stage works of phase two were handed over in April, and Osborne must complete the civils around the final office building by December.

Viridor buys Churngold Waste Management
Viridor Waste Management has bought Churngold Waste Management and EnviroScot from Churngold Construction Holdings for £22.5m.

RAP Consulting gets new owner
Haley Somerset Consulting has bought RAP Consulting Engineers of Nottingham. RAP, a building services design practice, was founded in 1958 and its customer base includes local councils.

Taywood opens FM services centre
Taylor Woodrow has opened its new national customer service centre in Denton, Cheshire, from which all its facilities management clients will be serviced. The centre employs 37 full-time staff.

Midas chief exec up for entrepreneur award
Midas Group chief executive Steve Hindley has been nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In his four years at the helm, Hindley has boosted Midas' turnover from £30m to £110m.

Dean & Dyball improves its website
