SELECT LIST OF TENDERERS
(Restricted Procedure)
West Sussex is a predominantly rural coastal county in Southern England. In
a recent Comprehensive Performance Assessment, carried out by the Audit
Commission, the County Council received an 'Excellent' rating - one of only
a handful of Authorities to achieve this standard.
Expressions of interest are invited from suitably experienced contractors
who wish to be included on a Select List of Tenderers for the Highway
Maintenance contracts listed below:

C1 Anti Skid & Surface Retexturing
C2 Conventional Surface Dressing and Footway Dressing

C3  Schedule of Rates for Roadworks
C6 Proprietary Surface Dressing
C9 Patching & Repair of Carriageway Surfacing
C10 Slurry Surfacing
C15 Rural Grasscutting
C19 Street Lighting Erection Works
C21  Recycling
C24 Urban Grasscutting
C26 Maintenance, Supply and Installation of Traffic Signal Equipment
The contracts are due to commence on 1st April 2004 and will run for a
minimum of one year.
In the first instance contractors should contact the Senior Technical
Assistant, Contracts, whereby they will be issued with an information and
application pack.
In order to assist the Council in assessing suitability, the contractor
will need to provide information as requested by the application pack, to
be returned by no later than the  4th September 2003.
The final date for end of interest of the above contracts is 31st July
2003. It is intended to invite the selected contractors to tender for work
during the period October/November 2003.
