NEW CAR PARK AT BOLTON INTERCHANGE

Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) are seeking
expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors
who wish to be included on a select list of tenderers for the above project.
The project is the construction of a new car park comprising groundworks,
bituminous macadam surfracing, drainage, lighting, CCTV installations,
fencing and minor building works.
The cost of the works is anticipated to be in the region of £275,000 with
tenders expected to be sought in early Autumn 2003. The contract will be a
fixed price contract under an appropriate JCT Form of Contract, amended to
incorporate GMPTE's requirements.

Applicants must demonstrate their ability to undertake the above works in
their expression of interest, which must include details of similar sized
contracts undertaken recently. In addition, contractors applying must
provide the following information with their submission:-
a. The names and addresses of three technical referees who are able to
provide a reference of the applicant's competence in relation to this type
of work. Details of particular projects undertaken by the applicants should
form part of these references.
b. A Copy of the Company's latest audited accounts, which should not be
more than 18 months old.
c. The name and address of the Company's bankers.
d. Confirmation that the Company is insured for public Liability of at
least £5,000,000.
e. A copy of the Company's Construction Industry Tax Deducation Certificate.
f. Evidence of having acted in the role of Principal Contractor under the
1994 CDM Regulations on similar schemes.
g. Details of the Company's Quality Assurance procedures.
