Benson's new division scores early success

The special works department of Benson's northern Home Counties division has completed its first project four weeks early.

The new department completed its modernisation and improvement job at the Greenfield Nursery School and Sure Start Children's Centre in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, in less than 16 weeks.

The special works department handles projects from £50,000 to £500,000. Ken Adams, Benson regional managing director, said: "We are widening the range of services we offer to met a growing demand from clients for this level of support."

Gary Bates, head of the department, said: "There is definitely a need for smaller, flexible fast-track teams and specialist crafts."
