APPLICATIONS TO TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CAR PARK AT HINDLEY RAIL STATION

Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) are seeking
expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors
who wish to be included on a select tender list for the above project.
Works to be carried out to the proposed new car park comprising removal of
overgrowth; macadam surface; precast concrete kerbs; fencing; landscaping;
drainage; lighting and CCTV installation.
The works are to be carried out between October and December 2003, with
projected budget of £130,000.00.
Tender documents will be despatched to successful applicants in August 2003
but the Executive does not undertake to invite all applications to tender.

Applicants must demonstrate their ability to undertake the above works in
their expressions of interest, which must include details of similar sized
contracts undertaken recently. In addition, contractors applying must
provide the following information with their submission:
1. Full registered company name, address and registration number, or the
firm's full trading name and address.
2. The names and addresses of three technical referees who are able to
provide a reference of the applicant's competence in relation to this type
of scheme. Details of particular projects undertaken by the applicant
should form part of these references.
3. A copy of the company's latest audited accounts, which should not be
more than 18 months old.
4. The name and address of the company's bankers.
5. Confirmation that the company is insured for Public Liability of at
least £5,000,000.
6. A copy of the company's Construction Industry Tax Deduction Certificate.
7. The company's Safety Policy.
8. Evidence of having acted in the role of Principal Contractor under the
1994 CDM Regulations on similar schemes.
Interested parties should ensure that their written application reaches the
address below by no later than Tuesday 22nd July 2003.
