UK Forks in £1.7m telehandler spend
Vp subsidiary UK Forks has invested £1.7m on a fleet of 35 new
17m telehandlers. The fleet is made up of Manitou MT1740, Bobcat
T40170 and JCB 540-170 Loadall machines, each with a lift capacity
of 4t. All the machines have heavy-duty stabilisers, chassis
levelling and all-round visibility convex mirrors as standard, in
line with the latest Health & Safety Executive
recommendations.These are the first 17m machines in UK Forks' fleet
and the firm said it will replace cranes on confined sites. Hire
Station has opened a new satellite branch on the site of the Morgan
Vinci joint venture to serve the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. The
branch will provide rental services for contractors working on the
CTRL between the Thames river crossing and Stratford.
