Bobcat enters portable market
Bobcat has entered the portable compressor market with the launch
of its Bobcat Air Power (BAP) range. The company has launched five
units providing free air deliveries from 2m3 to 5m3/min. The
smallest units, the BAP721 and 726 portable compressors, feature a
three-cylinder Ingersoll-Rand water-cooled engine rated at 16.5kW
and 20.5kW respectively. The largest unit, the BAP751 is powered by
an Ingersoll-Rand four-cylinder 46kW engine. With three air power
outlets, this model has been specifically designed to power
pneumatic tools and paving breakers. The UK's first Bobcat 316
micro-excavator has been purchased by Oxfordshire plant and tool
hirer LJ & CA Cannings. The unit, supplied by RF Hayden, has an
operating weight of 820kg.
