Fitzpatrick wins road and defence jobs in East Anglia

Fitzpatrick has clinched two deals totalling nearly 18m in East Anglia. The first is a 10.2m Highways Agency scheme for major maintenance on the A12 around Witham, Essex.Work starts on site next month, with completion due within 15 weeks.Also in the hunt were Amec/Lafarge, Nuttall, Alfred McAlpine/Aggregate Industries and RMC.And Fitzpatrick is flying high at RAF Mildenhall, Suffolk, where the firm will refurbish runways under a 7.6m contract.Design work for the Ministry of Defence starts immediately, with a start on site due next spring.The project will take 49 weeks to complete, including the design period.Mowlem, Costain and Amec/Lafarge also contested the deal.
