Line up for Welsh MoD deal
Four firms are on parade for a 5m Ministry of Defence deal to build
a NAAFI unit in south Wales.
The design and build task at Beachley Barracks has attracted Dew
and CH Pearce, both based in Bristol, plus the Swansea and Cardiff
operations respectively of Dean & Dyball and Ballast.
The scheme includes new staff accommodation, dining room and
kitchen facilities, a junior ranks social club, plus a
tavern.
The construction period is set at 11 months, to be followed by a
12-month maintenance period.
