Four win Stockton ALMO job
Four firms have unlocked up to 30m-worth of council house upgrading
work in the North East.
Tristar Homes, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's arms-length
management company, has put its faith in Frank Haslam Milan and
Connaught to tackle the work in the Thornaby and Billingham areas
respectively.
The Stockton area will be shared out between Mears and Dunelom
Property Services.
The framework contracts will be worth up to 30m during the first
five years, with the possibility of an extension for five more
years to cover the council's entire stock of 14,000 homes.
Work is due to start on site this autumn to bring the homes up to
the government's "decent standards" criteria.
The scope of the scheme includes general structural repairs, new
roofs, doors, kitchens and bathrooms.
