Written applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced
contractors, wishing to be considered for inclusion on the select list of
tenderers for the following project:
ANTI-SKID SURFACING 2003/2004
Applicants will have a proven history of the laying of High Friction
Surfacing and shall have HAPAS for the product used and installation be
approved in accordance with BBA certification scheme.
There shall be approximately 6,000 sq. m. of resin based surface treatment
in accordance with cl. 924 of the Specification for Highway Works. The
treatment is required at junctions and pedestrian crossings within Plymouth.

The issue of tender documents is programmed for 29th August 2003 and the
tender period will be one week. The anticipated commencement date on site
will be 22nd September 2003.
Interested contractors must submit by 22nd August their application
together with the following:-
a) Financial status and Bankers Reference.
b) Audited accounts for the latest three years.
c) Evidence of experience, including details of similar work
undertaken with contract values and dates.
d) The names, addresses and telephone numbers of at least two
technical referees.
e) Company profile and organisational structure.
f) The Company Health and Safety Policy.
g) Evidence of current Public Liability Insurance of at least £5,000,000.
