Corporate manslaughter conference - September 17

The government is committed to introducing tough new corporate manslaughter legislation, which will mean that company bosses could face massive fines and long jail sentences if an employee dies because their safety management procedures are less than perfect. Ignorance is no defence.

You cannot afford to be in the dark on this issue. So Contract Journal and Commercial Motor have teamed up to host a one-day conference on Corporate Manslaughter, sponsored by Ford & Warren Solicitors.

Not only will it help familiarise you with the law, it will also give you practical help on how to stay out of 'The Killing Zone'.

Highlights include:
- the current law and implications of future legislation;

- case study of a prosecution under the current law;

- managing risk out of the supply chain;

NB. The original keynote speaker, Lord Falconer of Thoroton, will no longer be speaking.

The conference takes place at Aston Villa Football Club, in Birmingham, on 17 September 2003.
