RMC Concrete Products's operations and sales office at Stanford-Le-Hope will close in November.
Production at the site, which employs 15 staff, finished today (Friday 22 August). A team of five staff has been retained to load existing product. The site will be vacated at the end of November.
According to an RMC statement, some of the staff will be redeployed elsewhere within the group.
Peter Hooson, divisional managing director of RMC Building Products, said: "The closure of Stanford-Le-Hope has come about as a result of over-capacity in the market and we are fortunate in having a state of the art, efficient factory close by at Northfleet where customer needs can be met."
After the closure, the Stanford-Le-Hope sales office will remain in operation until mid-October when its work will then be transferred to RMC's Dereham office.
