Mouchel wins Leeds partnering contract

Mouchel has won a partnering term contract with Leeds City Council for the provision of highways, bridges, and traffic and transportation services.

The contract, which is due to start on 1 September, is for three years with the option of an extension for a further two years.

The commission will provide further impetus to Mouchel's developing business in Yorkshire which now includes highway term contracts with North Yorkshire County Council and York, Rotherham, Wakefield and Doncaster Councils.

Ken Burton, chief design services officer for the development department of Leeds City Council said: "This is the first significant partnership for the council.

"We are pleased that we have taken concrete steps to implement the recommendation of the 'Best Value' Review by selecting Mouchel as our partner and look forward to a successful association with them."
