Wokers injured after scaffolding collapse


Two workmen were injured when they plunged 60m from a scaffolding platform in Darlington town centre yesterday (Thursday).

Both men were working on the scaffolding at a site in Chestnut Street when it collapsed.

One worker suffered serious back and neck injuries when he fell onto a stationary car.

The other sustained a broken leg.

The Health & Safety Executive is now investigating.
