Contract Journal HR Forum - booking now


Contract Journal's HR Forum 2003 will be the second in what it hopes will become an annual forum for HR issues affecting the construction industry.

This year's conference - on 4 December - is called Recruiting Our Future, and will cover two subjects - Graduate Recruitment and Apprenticeships.

The speakers, who include Construction Minister Nigel Griffiths, plus senior HR representatives from Taylor Woodrow, Costain, Shepherd Construction, Aggregate Industries, Finning and Holloway White Allom, will address topics including:
- partnering with education establishments;
- the quality of the current graduate crop;
- recruiting non-engineering graduates;
- beating your competitors to the best graduates;

- competing with other industries for the best graduates;
- ongoing professional development and; career paths;
- making apprenticeships work;
- how to ensure your apprentice';s finish their training;
- how to keep your apprentices once they are trained;
- if everyone goes to university, where will the apprentices come from?

The 2003 HR Conference - Recruiting Our Future will take place on 4 December at 76 Portland Place in London.
