McCarthy & Stone expects "satisfactory" yearly results

McCarthy & Stone PLC said today (Wednesday) that it expects another highly satisfactory set of results for the year as it has exceeded its turnover targets for the year, with unit sales and average sales prices well in advance of last year.

The group sold 1,948 units (1,671) an increase of 17% and achieved an average selling price of approximately £131,000 an increase of 17%.

At the end of last month, the Group was carrying forward a healthy level of reservations, similar to last year, and the market remains sound.

In a statement to the Stock Exchange it said it remains confident about the future prospects for the group.
