Approved list of contractors - Wandsworth Borough Council

WANDSWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL
ADDITIONS TO THE HOUSING DEPARTMENT'S APPROVED LIST OF CONTRACTORS
The Housing Department is seeking expressions of interest in writing from
suitably experienced contractors who wish to be considered to be included
on the Department's approved list in the following categories:
Adaptations for the disabled
CCTV installation and association works
Cleaning and General Maintenance
Door entry/Entrycall
Garden maintenance
Landscaping (both hard and soft)
Lift installation and maintenance
Pest control
Works will range in values up to £20,000 for minor schemes and up to
£750,000 for major schemes and applicants will be required to submit at a
later stage the following information for consideration.
 (a) A full set of audited accounts, not older than 18 months
old at the time of sending.
 (b) Details of three technical referees for similar works,
particularly for public organisations.
 (c) A current CIS certificate where applicable.
 (d) Confirmation of Public and Employers Liability insurance to
a minimum of £5 million.
 (e) Details of the company's current Equal Opportunities Policy.
 (f) Details of the company's current Health and Safety Policy
and where applicable, CDM Regulations and evidence of acting in the role of
Principal Contractor.
All of the above listed information must not be sent with the expression of
interest and any applicant doing so may not have their application
processed.
The duration of Approved List status will be for three years and it is
anticipated to commence in March 2004. Any works commissioned via this
Approved List will be under the direction of the Director of Housing, Chris
Buss, BA, CPFA.
Applicants must note that this is part of a major procurement exercise and
should appreciate that expressing an interest or selection may not
guarantee future work.
Existing contractors need not re-apply but should still submit requested
annual information as required on the reminder questionnaire sent from time
to time.
Responses to this advertisement must not incorporate replies to any other
placed by Wandsworth Borough Council. Late applications will not be
considered.
