Road Maintenance Annual Contracts 2004/2005
Tenders are invited for the execution of the works, supply and lay
of
materials etc, as specified hereunder, for a period of 12
months,
commencing 1 April 2004.
It should be noted that a fixed fee of £35.00 will be charged
to cover cost
of documents issued for each category.
1. Hot Rolled Asphalt and Coated Macadam
2. Heating and Planing Road Surfaces
3. Reinstatement of Trenches, Patching and Footway Surfacing
using
Rolled Asphalt and Coated Macadam
4. Repave Process
5. *Road Markings
6. **Surface Dressing
7. Reflective Roadstuds
8. Micro-Surfacing and Slurry Surfacing
9. Traffic Sign Supply, Erection and Maintenance
10. Jetting and CCTV Camera Surveys
*Contractors require to be Quality Assured and certified by an
accredited
third party to BS EN ISO 9002: 2000.
**Contractors require to be Quality Assured and certified by an

documentary
evidence that they are working towards such certification.
Contractors wishing to be considered should forward their
application
together with details of:-
1. Categories for which they wish to be considered
2. Names and addresses of three referees for each category
3. Current Safety Policy Document
4. Most recent set of audited accounts available
5. A valid cheque payable to Perth and Kinross Council at
£35.00 per
category
to the Construction and Maintenance Manager, Perth and Kinross
Council,
Planning and Transportation Department, The Atrium, 137 Glover
Street,
Perth PH2 0HY quoting Reference M/GC12 no later than Friday 3
October 2003.
Tenders shall be subject to Value Assessment and the tender
documents
(including a Value Assessment questionnaire) will be issued on
or
beforeFriday 14 November 2003 with an anticipated date of return of
Friday
12 December 2003.
The Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender and
reserves
the right to accept the whole or part of any tender.
