The Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE) will launch its search for a new chief executive with a series of adverts in the national press.
An advert in the Daily Telegraph and again in its Sunday equivalent the following week will ask for "a strategic thinker who can provide entrepreneurial vison blended with strong leadership qualities and an understanding of the built and natural environment".
The appointment follows a reassessment of the needs of ACE members which has been ongoing since Januray - a month after former chief executive Nicholas Bennett left the post.
The deadline for all applications is 30 September. The successful applicant should be in place by the end of the year.
