Skanska wins £68.8m A2 widening scheme
Skanska has been confirmed as the winning contractor for the £68.8m early contractor involvement scheme to widen the A2 between Pepperhill and Cobham in Kent. Work involves construction of 4.5km of new dual carriageway.

Addenbrooke's PFI goes to A McAlpine
As tipped by CJ (9 July) Alfred McAlpine has been confirmed as preferred bidder for a £67m PFI scheme at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge to provide additional non-emergency patient care facilities for Addenbrooke's NHS Trust.

Miller to provide £16.8m school buildings
Miller Construction has won a £16.8m contract to provide new school buildings and carry out refurbishment at the Academy of Peckham, south London. Work will be split into seven phases with completion set for December 2005.

Mivan lands £15m
