Infracare wins £60m Bristol NHS LIFT scheme


Infracare (South West) has beaten off Ryhurst LIFT and the Carillion Prime Partnership to become the preferred bidder for the £60m Bristol NHS Lift scheme.

An Infracare spokesman told CJ: "We are delighted that we have been chosen, particularly as this is the very first LIFT scheme we put in a bid for."

The consortium, which includes Mowlem, William Pears, Osmond Tricks, GEHE, Infracare Partnering and debt provider Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, is also shortlisted for another eight NHS LIFT schemes, which are all from the third tranche.

Financial close is expected by November, with an immediate start on the first phase of five schemes worth £35m. These schemes include the West Bristol Student Health Centre, the Fishpond Health Centre and the Brentry Hospital.

  • The £51m Colchester and Tendering NHS LIFT scheme has shortlisted: Amec; Community Solutions for Primary Care; and The Mill Group. The preferred bidder is expected to be announced in October.
