JCB orders Perkins
JCB has signed a five-year agreement with Perkins for the supply of 400C Series Stage 2, 2.2-litre and below compact engines and 4-litre engines. Perkins will deliver about 6,500 of its 400 Series units to JCB this year.

New home for MGF
Trench construction specialist MGF has moved into its £1m purpose-built premises in Makerfield near Wigan. The company designs, fabricates and distributes excavation support equipment through its five regional hire depots.

Rider disqualification
Simon Andrew Rider, a director of Macklin Ground Engineering in West Sussex, has been disqualified for five years after Macklin was wound up in October 2000 with estimated debts of almost £168,000.

Exporter of the year
Powerscreen has been awarded the accolade of exporter of the year by the Northern Ireland Economic Development Agency.

Hillingdon on track
The London Borough of Hillingdon is piloting a satellite tracking service with street sweepers. It will use the Masternaut 'always on' tracking service to provide a log of routes with sensors recording 'brush down' status.
