Jarvis signs £270m Herefordshire council contract

Jarvis has reached financial close with Herefordshire County Council on a £270m contract to provide the council with a range of environmental services.

Jarvis is working in partnership with the council as Herefordshire Jarvis Services, providing highways and traffic services, civic and schools catering, grounds maintenance, street and building cleaning, recycling facilities, building management and maintenance and other support services.

The contract's whole life value is £270m over 20 years. A total of 521 staff from the council's commercial services organisation have transferred to Jarvis under TUPE rules.
