Atlas Copco launches two new hammers

Atlas Copco Electric Tools (ACET) has announced the integration of its Kango brand into the Milwaukee power tools range with the launch of two new hammers, the Milwaukee Kango 900 and 950.

According to Chris Behan, general manager of ACET, the brand fit gives the division an opportunity to rationalise and consolidate the brands in order to strengthen and expand its product offer.

The new Milwaukee Kango 900 is a demolition hammer, while the 950 is suitable for demolition and drilling applications. Both units are said to incorporate superior ergonomics to deliver better performance and the lowest vibration levels in their class.

Both tools are equipped with three handles, with the two main handles delivering vibration levels of 4m/s2 and 7m/s2 respectively. "The two new tools also offer 52% more power and 65% more energy than previous Kango models," said Behan.

To help reduce back strain the new tools feature an in-line motor design, which locates the motor on the driving axis, effectively lengthening the tool and allowing the operator to stand in an upright position.
