The Manitowoc Crane factory in Germany is the first cranes facility to be awarded the Blue Angel environmental award. The award is presented to manufacturers of industrial equipment for complying with low noise and emission targets.

Terex gets ISO9001
Terex Compact Equipment's ultra-modern facility in Coventry has been awarded BSEN ISO9001:2000 by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance. Site dumpers, telehandlers, rollers and backhoe loaders are manufactured on the site.

Osborne goes for LPG
Contractor Geoffrey Osborne has introduced four LPG vehicles to its specialist maintenance division. The units are more environmentally friendly than conventional vehicles, with better fuel economy and reduced emissions.

Titan Fuelmaster tank
Titan Environmental has introduced a 1,300-litre capacity Fuelmaster tank for small and medium-size firms. The FM1300 is 1.9m long, 1.2m wide and 1.85m high and is fitted with the Super Watchman Plus system.

Elliotthire in Nottingham
Elliotthire has opened a hire centre near Nottingham. The 2ha site has a 2,300m2 workshop dedicated to providing portable accommodation.
