£25m highways contract up for grabs
Cheshire County Council is looking for a contractor to carry out a 10-year, £25m highways contract. Maintaining street lighting, bridges and signals and the design and construction of improvement works are part of the deal.

Bids sought for Edgware School replacement
Contractors are sought for a £20m contract from the London Academy to replace the Edgware School with a new secondary school. The project may comprise some offsite infrastructure and highway works.

HA offers Peterborough £18m bypass project
A contract worth between £13m and £18m is being offered by the Highways Agency to construct a dual carriageway bypass and one footbridge/cycle bridge at Thorney in Peterborough.

Contractor wanted for Hull hospital ward
Hull East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is inviting bids for the provision and subsequent maintenance of a four-storey block for the Hull Royal Infirmary. The contract is valued at between £10m and £20m.

Bids wanted for £13m Liverpool school
Kensington Academy Trust is seeking contractors to construct a 900-pupil secondary school in Liverpool. The work, worth about £13m, will involve the construction of a mixture of buildings, a games hall and sports pitches.

£10m Bournemouth housing job advertised
Bournemouth Borough Council is advertising a housing, repair and maintenance services contract worth £10m over five years. The work includes kitchen and bathroom refurbishments and disabled adaptations.

A-Plant records 13% turnover tumble
A-Plant's turnover in the four months to 31 August was down 13% year-on-year. In the past year it closed 19 profit centres and sold two businesses, thus on a like-for-like basis, the performance is not as bad: it's a 6% drop.
