Arsenal hope to begin work on their new stadium early next year, the club revealed to shareholders at its annual general meeting yesterday (Thursday).
Arsenal have plans to construct a £410m stadium at Ashburton Grove, Islington, but the project has been delayed and some planning issues remain unsolved.
"Depending on financing, we are ready to start construction of the stadium in the first quarter of next year," director Danny Fiszman told confirmed.
Fiszman also rubbished the proposal for Arsenal to move to the new Wembley stadium if the Ashburton Grove plans fall through.
However, there are still complications with the Gunners needing £260m funding and further planning permissions.
