Stirling Council unveils £60m PFI schools project

Stirling Council has advertised a £60m private finance project to build, remodel and extend a number of primary and secondary schools.

The Stirling Council Schools PPP Project will involve design, new build, remodelling, extension, finance, management and maintenance at various primary and secondary schools within the Stirling area.

The contract also covers accommodation for special needs learning, nursery and provision for community services, as well as other council and partner organisations.

The facilities management contract will last for 30 years.

Firms interested in bidding for the project have until 5 December 2003 to express their interest.
