Yorkshire Water Services seeks construction partners for AMP4 work

Yorkshire Water Services is seeking contractors to bid for its AMP4 capital works programme.

AMP (Asset Management Plan) 4 covers the next regulatory period from the beginning of April 2005 to the end of March 2010. The work is split between clean water and waste water areas.

The clean water programme is likely to cover water treatment, reservor safety, service reservoirs and pumping stations. Pipelines will probably be excluded.

The waste water work is divided into three main parts: sewerage; waste water treatment; and sludge treatment.

Work may also include hydraulic and quality modelling, feasibility studies, detailed design work, project management, construction of civil engineering and mechanical and electrical works for capital maintenance, rehabilitation and new investment in the firm's operational assets.

Individual projects will probably be within the £20,000 to £5m range, with most falling within a range of £200,000 to £500,000.

Firms have until 17 November to register their interest in bidding with Yorkshire Water.
