HBG at Lincoln University
HBG is looking to notch up its second contract at Lincoln
University inside 12 months.
HBG and Allenbuild are the only two contenders left in the chase
for the latest deal at the university - the £5m Great Central
Warehouse project.
The scheme includes transforming a derelict warehouse into a
library, plus learning resources and a cafŽ.
The complex will cover 5,000m2 and is a key element of the
university's Brayford Campus masterplan - an ambitious project to
expand the university to potentially 9,000 students over the next
10 years.
A start on site is expected next month, with the complex open in
time for the start of the 2004 academic year.
It is understood that a pitch from a third contractor, Lindum, has
now been rusticated.
Last year, HBG sealed a £7.8m deal to build an architecture
and media communication centre for the university.
