HA tells bidders to hold prices
The Highways Agency (HA) has asked firms still in the hunt for the
£300m road maintenance framework deal in the South East to
hold their prices open for another 60 days now that the tender
validity period has run out.
Ten firms out of an original roll-call of 15 still have hopes of
getting among the spoils.
The contenders are: Birse; Colas; Fitzpatrick; Interserve; Edmund
Nuttall; Mowlem; Aggregate Industries; Balfour Beatty; Jackson/RMC;
and one other contractor.
The HA will choose a maximum of six and a minimum of three firms to
carry out the work.
