Powertilt range gets quick coupler extra

Exak1 has added a quick-coupling version of the Powertilt to its range.
The Powertilt allows the excavator bucket or attachment to swing through up to 180¼ (left to right) and has traditionally had a semi-manual pin attachment system to couple the bucket. Now a fully hydraulic quick-coupling system is available allowing buckets and attachments to be exchanged more easily.
Powertilt is operated via the double-acting auxiliary circuit and can be fitted to excavators from 1t to 35t. The quick coupler can be specified on Powertilts for machines from 3t to 35t and is operated via the normal quick coupling circuit.
Specifying a quick-coupling system on a Powertilt for a 13t excavator raises the price from £5,200 to £5,500 in like-for-like specification. According to Exak1, the Powertilt has a robust design with no external rams, and some early examples have clocked up more than 10,000 hours of operation.
