Maintenance work u-turn by Network Rail still undecided

Network Rail has hit back at claims that it is considering taking back £1.3bn worth of rail maintenance work from private sector contractors.
National newspaper reports suggested that Network Rail had been "secretly considering the drastic change for several months".
The plan, the reports stated, was given fresh urgency two weeks ago when Jarvis pulled out of rail infrastructure maintenance.
However, a spokesman for Network Rail told CJ: "It is no secret that rail maintenance is under scrutiny, but the claims are pure speculation. We are looking at all different angles, but no decision has been reached as yet."
Network Rail has already revealed plans to take back maintenance work on three infrastructure contracts, while from April it will be responsible for the contracts previously held by Jarvis.
