CONTRACT FOR THE MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND BREAKDOWN ATTENDANCE OF DOOR ENTRY
SYSTEMS

Applications are invited from companies with at least five years experience
of servicing, repair and replacement of Door Entry Systems, wishing to be
considered for the maintenance contract of specified door entry systems
installed in dwellings owned or managed by Bristol City Council.
Applicants should have experience in maintaining up to 150 dwellings on a
single system and preferably have previous experience in local authority
works.
Currently there are approximately 275 systems comprising hi-rise, lo-rise
and walk up accommodation utilizing various manufactured systems some of

which have supplementary electronic fob systems.
The contract will commence on 1 May 2004 and will be for two years with the
option of an extension of up to a further twelve months. The successful
contractor will be required to carry out one service visit per year and
provide a 24 hour breakdown repair service throughout the year. The
contract will also include a renewal programme ensuring compatibility with
existing equipment.
