Jarvis appoint first rail division chief executive

Under-fire Jarvis has strengthened its under-fire rail division with the appointment of its first ever chief executive.

Andrew Lezala, currently president of the worldwide services division at engineering company Bombardier, begins his new role next month. He also worked for British Rail for a decade.

Lezala's appointment had been a long-planned move and was not in direct response to recent events in the rail division, a Jarvis spokesman said today (Wednesday)

Jarvis has also taken on Jonathan Haslam as its new director of corporate communications.
