Griffiths to speak at CJ's HR conference

Construction minister Nigel Griffiths has agreed to speak at
Contract Journal's HR Conference on 4 December.
Griffiths will give the government's perspective on the skills crisis facing the construction industry, and also aim to resolve the apparent conflict between its plan to get 50% of young people into higher education and the construction industry's need to get more youngsters to learn a trade.
The conference, entitled Recruiting Our Future, will also feature presentations from Costain, Taylor Woodrow, Shepherd Construction, Finning UK, Aggregate Industries and Holloway White Allom on the subjects of graduate recruitment and apprenticeships.
