Italian company Iscom is to launch its standing seam aluminium roof
covering system for large roofs in the UK next year.
Riverclack is a metal roof covering system composed of sheets
produced as long as necessary. The longest one to be installed so
far is 80m-long.
The system brings new water tightness guarantees to the standing
seam roofing market and because of its design it does not need any
gasket.
Tests have proved the system is waterproof even if completely
flooded, a company spokesman said. It is often used for retrofit
operations to overcome problems of watertightness on faulty
roofs.
Riverclack does not require any special tools for installation as
it is not a clamped system. It is fastened by a simple foot
pressure and a snap-locking system.
The covering is manufactured in aluminium alloy 5754 mill-finished
or pre-painted and is available in copper or stainless steel.
"Long life, no maintenance and installation quickness are the
properties that make it low cost, either for big or for small
projects," said the spokesman. Iscom has signed a deal with a
distributor to sell the system in the UK.
