Komatsu makes excavator thinner and faster
Komatsu has reduced the overall width of its PC 09-1 by 100mm,
allowing the micro excavator to pass through an internal doorway
700mm wide. It has also increased the travel speed by 50%.
However, the company said the all-new design has more than enough
power to handle a wide variety of digging jobs.
The PC09-1 has a hydraulically adjustable track for increased
stability when working. It is said to have a low-noise design and
to have been designed to give operators a safe and ergonomic space
to control the machine. Hydraulic hoses for the arm and bucket
cylinders are contained within the tubular boom for protection.
