Business as usual as Mascus gets new owner

Mascus, the internet site for finding and selling used construction equipment, has been bought by Finnish firm Alma Media.
Mascus UK manager John O'Leary said the deal will allow sellers to market their equipment through Alma's multiple media channels.
"Being part of a large media house will mean our clients will be able to put an advert in various channels with just a single data input," he said.
On-line since 2001, www.mascus.com has more than 10,000 items of plant equipment available, worth approximately £30m. "It's business as usual for the 200,000 people who use our site every month," O'Leary said.
