Nooteboom's Mega takes more in a load

Trailer manufacturer Noote-boom's latest development is the Mega wind turbine transporter.
The transporter consists of two hydraulically extendible lift-adapters that can be used to load and unload various tower sections and turbines without the need for a crane.
Each lift adapter has a 50t capacity allowing heavy nacelles and turbines to be easily transported. During transport, the lift-adaptors clamp the tower section or nacelle. The unit is said to increase the load capacity and manoeuvrability of low-loaders and dollies. Its lower purchase price (against alternative transport solutions) and the saving on crane costs also help cut operating costs.
In the move photographed, one lift-adaptor has been fitted on a six-axle hydraulically-steered semi low-loader and the other on a seven-axle hydraulically-steered self-steering dolly.
