Double wind farm win for AWG Construction

A £10m construction contract for two Moray wind farms has been won by Inverness-based AWG Construction Services.
Due to start in early spring 2004, the contracts at Paul's Hill
and Cairn Uish will provide employment for up to 50 people during
the 12-15 months construction period.
The work includes building access roads, foundations and cabling,
for both wind farms, one at Cairn Uish, 13km south west of Elgin
and 10km west of Rothes and the other at Paul's Hill, 23km south
west of Elgin.
John Guild estimating and engineering manager at AWG Construction Services said: "We are delighted to have secured these two local contracts after six months of tendering effort.
"We look forward to working closely with Fred Olsen Renewables,
our established electrical partner Balfour Kilpatrick and to
successful delivery of the wind farm infrastructures."
