Connolly Homes, the housebuilder based in Luton, has lifted turnover to £20m in the 12 months to the end of May, a rise of £4m over the previous year.
Pre-tax profit rose to £2.2m, comfortably ahead of the £1.6m figure in 2002. A spokeswoman said: "We've slimmed down. There has been a reorganisation and you are seeing half the benefit of this in the latest figures, with the second part being due to show up in next year's results."
The independent family-owned group is run by Mike Callanan,
managing director. It builds houses of all sizes within a 60-mile
radius of Luton.
