Man killed on Cornwall building site

A man has died after he became trapped under a mobile office in west Cornwall.

Fire crews and an ambulance were called to a building site in Carnyorth next door to the Carnyorth Outdoor Education Centre in Penwith yesterday (Wednesday) where they found a man in his 50s trapped under a temporary building.

The man, who has yet to be identified, was removed from under the building but was pronounced dead.

Initial police reports suggest the building was unstable and the man became trapped after trying to support the structure.

The Health & Safety Executive has launched an investigation.
