Contractors sought for capital works on Leeds homes

Leeds City Council is seeking contractors to work in partnership to manage, co-ordinate and implement work on council houses over the next five years.

The council is looking to appoint two construction partners in Leeds South Homes to deliver internal works such as rewiring, plastering and ceiling and floor renewals and external works such as pointing, wall tie renewal and environmental works.

The value of each contract is £3.6m, although this could double depending on the findings of an Audit Commission inspection next August.

The work must be completed by June 2009.
