United Utilities Water advertises AMP 4 project framework deals

United Utilities Water has unveiled its major and minor project framework deals for the AMP 4 period from April 2005 to the end of March 2009.

Four contractors or teams will be selected for the major works framework, which is worth between £40m and £100m a year for each team.

Work covers the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment works and network assets. The scope of work will include new assets, modifications, refurbishment work and extensions to existing assets.

The minor works framework covers a similar scope of work and is worth around £8m a year for each of the four contractors.
